Ivel Agricultural Motor

The Ivel Agricultural Motor was designed by Dan Albone, who built his first prototype in 1902. The first production models emerged from Albone's works in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire the following year, and Ivel tractors were regularly demonstrated to prospective buyers on a nearby farm. The lightweight tractor used a twin-cylined opposed engine that developed around 8 hp, and a large water tank was positioned next to the operator's position for cooling. Ivel tractors were shipped worldwide, including a number to Australia and New Zealand, and a handful have survived into preservation.
