Poehl

Poehl-Werke was founded at Goessnitz in central Germany around 1910, and by the 1920s it had become one of the best-known tractor manufacturers in Germany. The first machines to be produced were motor ploughs and heavyweight conventional tractors with coupled ploughs that were raised and lowered using a crane attachment. The 1920s saw the introduction of smaller tractors, including the popular "Ackerbaumaschine" models and a series of lightweight crawlers. Tractor production continued throughout the 1930s until the Second World War intervened. More than 1000 Poehl tractors were built over a 20-year period, but only a handful remain today.
